2026 scholar
Lilli Keller
Lilli is pursuing biomedical science with the aim of completing medicine and contributing to better health care for rural and regional communities.
Lithgow, New South Wales · Established 2006
The Hoskins Lithgow Scholarship helps young people from the Lithgow Local Government Area pursue tertiary study and realise their full potential.
Purpose
The scholarship was first awarded in 2006. It honours Charles Hoskins, whose work helped establish Lithgow as a centre of Australian iron and steelmaking, while investing in something equally important: the future contribution of young people from the Lithgow community.
A Lithgow legacy
G & C Hoskins purchased the Eskbank Ironworks in 1908 and developed the enterprise into Australia’s first successful iron and steel works. The scholarship carries that spirit of practical achievement forward into new fields and new generations.
